Lisbon-born Joana Seara studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she took her BMus, MMus degrees and completed the Opera Course in 2006.

Joana has already worked for companies including Glyndebourne Festival Opera, English National Opera, Independent Opera at Sadlers Wells, British Youth Opera and Bampton Classical Opera, and has sung with orchestras such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the King's Consort and the London Mozart Players.
